LITTLE PROUD KID BECOMES A SPONSOR OF A CHILD’S PLACE

Little Proud Kid announces a partnership with A Child’s Place to reduce the impact of homelessness on children.

Charlotte, NC, November 29, 2016– The collaboration between Little Proud Kid and A Child’s Place is established at a time where child homelessness is on a rise in the United States. According to the National Center on Family Homelessness a staggering 2.5 million children are now homeless each year in America. In Charlotte, NC where A Child’s Place is headquartered, that number is approximately 4000 each year.

It’s heartbreaking to think we have so many children whose daily struggle is having a roof over their heads. We’re happy to support A Child’s Place. Our journey is about arming the next generation with the tools and resources they need to rise above any circumstance that impacts their ability to manifest the highest possibilities.” says Georgia Lobban, Founder, Little Proud Kid.

The mission of A Child’s Place  is to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education. Their work supports children, families, schools and the community by intervening at the point of crisis when a family loses their home. A Child’s Place serves as the EMT, there at the time of the emergency to help stabilize the child and family so they can begin to rebuild their lives. Primarily done through a school-year model, A Child’s Place works in partnership with the public schools to identify, enroll and work with children and families who are in the homelessness crisis.

With our families going through such an enormous crisis, we rely so much on the community to help us support them to our greatest capacity. To partner with Little Proud Kid is a great opportunity for A Child’s Place to better ensure that our children and families have what they need to reach success.” Delana Murdock, Volunteer Coordination, A Child's Place.

As a sponsor, Little Proud Kid will support A Child’s Place by way of donation and coordinating events to raise items that are of the greatest needs, such as food, clothing, toiletries, books and toys.
